The Ministry of Production (PRODUCE) denounce criminally eight individuals, including entrepreneurs, fishermen and merchants, for assaulting inspectors of the Directorate General for Supervision and Control in the sector, and thereby avoid the imposition of reports of occurrences, which is prior to the imposition of fines and penalties for non-compliance to regulations step.
These criminal acts occurred in Bahia La Cruz (Ancash), Parachique and Las Delicias (Piura), Mórrope (Lambayeque), Playa Zorritos (Tumbes), Spring Fiscal La Punta Blanca (Arequipa), as well as artisanal fishery landings José Olaya ( Ica) and Huacho (Lima).
In total there were verbally and physically assaulted eleven inspectors, some of which even received death threats.
In this regard, it is noteworthy that the Ministry of Production will continue to denounce the criminal proceedings to those that interrupt, with criminal acts, compliance with the law. Furthermore, it will strengthen its monitoring and supervision at national level.
