The President of Chile, Sebastian Pinera, briefly commented on the sentencing to give the International Court of Justice based in The Hague (Netherlands) to the Maritime Dispute having their country with Peru, which will release the Jan. 27, according to the International Tribunal reported.
"Is the defense of an entire country what their sovereignty," the president told reporters in his country. He also stated that "it has been a state policy."
The president also stressed bilateral workers who have been making their country Peru in recent months, especially highlighting the fact in the Pacific Alliance, composed of Colombia, Mexico, Chile and Peru. "It has been a very successful partnership that has paid off," he said.
