Authorities seize 105 tons of fish which were dried in the open in Coishco

Authorities seized and later burned 105 tons of fish waste which were illegally dried outdoors area Huamanchacate in Coishco (Ancash Region), causing serious damage to the environment.

The use of illicit origin, was in an area of ​​eight hectares, it was operated jointly by the inspectors of the Ministry of Production, the National Police of Peru and the Public Ministry.

This operation is part of an action plan that is running the Ministry of Production to dismantle the Dry Pampas that go against the rules, causing damage to the environment and promote the illegal diversion of Hydrobiological Resources.

So far they have seized 440 tons of fish were dried outdoors in 30 acres of land from ten different places.

The surgery in Coishco tried to prevent the seizure, however, inspectors PRODUCE supported by the National Police, achieved seizure and burning.

Inspectors from the Ministry of Production rose relevant records and to develop their technical report will initiate the disciplinary process in administrative and criminal law tracks according to documentation.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Production, has stepped up efforts to control and supervision to enforce standards and address the illegalities committed in the Fisheries Sector.
