Giant Squid Fishing could generate an additional $ 400 million

The National Fisheries Society of Peru (SNP) argues that the National Plan for Productive Diversification launched by the Ministry of Production (Produce) could generate additional foreign exchange of USD 400 million annually in fishing cuttlefish or giant squid, if it promotes capture this resource.

National Productive Diversification Plan was submitted on 12 May, and produces established within 45 days for business groups, economists, and other natural and legal persons can send their suggestions and recommendations.

The SNP welcomed the efforts made by the ministry to sustainably enhance the competitiveness of the productive sectors through this plan.
