They will modernize 70% of artisanal fishery landings in 2016

70 percent of the artisanal fishery landings (DPA) in the country at the end of the management of the current government will appropriate health regulations to boost fishing for Direct Human Consumption (CHD), announced the Ministry of Production (Produce ).

“Of the 43 existing national DPA, only two-both located in the Ica region are adjusted to the health standard. But this Government upon completion should be done upgrading the adequacy or 70 percent of the DPA”Informed the Head of Produce, Piero Ghezzi.

He added that the National Fisheries Development Fund (Fondepes), being in charge of Produce, is in the process of fund this modernization, and in some cases building new DPA.
Thus fishers have the capacity to retain a better way hydrobiological species for direct human consumption promote infrastructure.

So, Ghezzi said it expects to have fully operational for this year's three piers Los Chimus, Chimbote (Ancash Region in both) and Paita (Piura).

Earlier this year plans for three new landing adequacy of Bahia Blanca (Callao), Puerto Morin (La Libertad) and San Jose (Lambayeque) were initiated.

“In the south we expect to begin in June improvement processes and adapting to the standard DPA Matarani. Will be the same on the landing of Morrozama and Ilo in November. This would have three fully relevant adequate landing zone south”He said.

Ghezzi said the landing craft must operate in optimal conditions to ensure the quality of the resource.
