Marina alert War abnormal waves in the central and southern coast

The Directorate of Hydrography and Navigation of the Navy of Peru announced today that on Friday, October 24 intermittent waves of light intensity is present mainly in the south coast and Midwest.

Therefore, the entire coastal population and persons performing port activities, fishing, sports and recreation continue to take safety measures to prevent accidents, injury and damage recommended.

They reported that these waves mainly affect areas that have open or semi-southwest-facing beaches.

For its part, the National Institute of Civil Defense (Indeci) recommended the adoption of certain measures of protection and preparedness notice issued by the Directorate of Hydrography and Navigation.

Precisely, these departments alerted son: Ancash, Lima, Ica, Arequipa, Tacna y Moquegua.

Given this situation, the Indeci recommended that regional and local authorities, guide the population in terms of specific protection measures, avoiding exposure to this phenomenon, to prevent accidents.

Similarly, the Indeci recommended port and suspend fishing activities and to ensure the vessels and remove small fleets to land.

The Indeci through the National Center for Emergency Operations (COEN), has been monitoring the Peruvian coast departments in coordination with the Office of Civil Defense; and the Directorate of Hydrography and Navigation of the Navy of Peru.

This was done to provide information to the authorities and the general public about the events that occur.
