Last, Thursday November 19, 2014, was held the ceremony of blessing and delivery of the project "Repair, Maintenance, Carena and Structural Modification Research Vessel Luis Flores Portugal (Ex SNP2)" at the Instituto del Mar del Peru ( Imarpe).
The bid for this project was obtained through a public tender by the company TASA through its TASA Shipyard developed the necessary work to recover the optimum capacity of buoyancy, stability and freeboard research vessel named the Peruvian biologist Luis Flores Portugal, who was one of the principal investigators of our Mar.
The ceremony was attended by officials Imarpe and TASA and family Biologist Luis Flores who, after the blessing, able to tour the facilities of the ship that joins the fleet Imarpe research.
Thank Ship repair and improvement of the effectiveness of its major systems and equipment, Luis Flores are able to meet scientific research, safely and reliably.
