CHILE – Abate Molina scientific ship hydroacoustic research conducted Anchovies

The scientific ship Abate Molina, the Instituto de Fomento Pesquero (FIFG) sailed on Thursday 27 November from the port of Valparaiso (Valparaiso Region), with a staff of 26 people, including researchers and crew to carry out the project "hydroacoustic assessment

The overall objective of the project is to evaluate the juvenile stock of anchovy resource, through the hydroacoustic, existing method in the area between Arica y Parinacota Region and the Region of Antofagasta, and characterize the process of recruitment of the species in the area study.

Once the cruise was completed, the data obtained in the scientific expedition will be processed and then make a final report disclosed and share information.
