Ruled tsunami after quake recorded this morning in Arequipa

The Directorate of Hydrography and Navigation of the Navy of Peru (DHN), said the earthquake was 5.7 on the Richter scale recorded this at 09:31 am today in the Arequipa region generates no tsunami warning on the coast Peruvian.

In this regard, the National Institute of Civil Defense (Indeci), through the Center for National Emergency Operations (COEN) provides technical assistance to the relevant Civil Defense authorities.

Indeci recommends that in case of an earthquake must remain calm and avoid panic. Also, developing a family escape plan, check escape routes, as well as locate the areas of internal and external security.

Remember that Peru, is located in the area called Ring of Fire, where approximately 85% of the world's seismic activity is recorded.
