The Ministry of Production (Produce) seized a total of 226 tonnes of anchovy, which did not meet the minimum catch size, various industrial vessels.
Seizures were conducted by inspectors from the Surveillance and Control of Fishing and Landing in various interventions conducted last June 30 in Lima and Ica regions during the first fishing season in the north-central coastal area.
According to the ministry, the inspectors intervened to industrial fishing vessels 415 TASA TASA TASA 44 and 41, in the premises of the fishing company of Food Technology SA (TASA), located in the towns of Supe and Végueta.
Also, in the discharge area of Pesquera Hayduk, located in Tambo de Mora, underwent surgery to Isabelita vessel, owned by the same company.
Similarly, in the premises of Austral Group SAA fishing in Paracas, to craft larger scale yNorma Estela de Oro II, owned by that company were involved.
All these vessels at the time they were taken over by downloading Anchovy percentage exceeding 10% tolerance allowed smaller size. Inclusive, exceeded the 10% additional tolerance that recognizes vessels present their reports coves, said the Produce.
Inspectors raised their corresponding occurrence reports, initiating administrative disciplinary procedures.
