According INEI fishing sector activity increased 13.48% in July

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) reported that in July Fisheries Sector activity increased 13.48 percent compared with the same month of 2013.
The increase in these fisheries is explained by the greater Anchovy landings for the manufacture of fish meal and oil; decreased while extracting species for direct human consumption.
Catching Anchovies Indirect intended for human consumption totaled 400,000 tons, an amount representing an increase of 41.58 percent from the 283,000 tons reported in July 2013.
This sector gets this good performance after two months of May contractionary results (-9.38 percent) and June (-30.73 percent).
The negative result in fishing for Direct Human Consumption (-7.24 percent), due to lower catches of species for curing (-63.19 percent) and canned (-51.58 percent)
Agricultural production
The same way, the INEI announced that in the month of study, agricultural production grew by 1.63 percent as a result of increased livestock production (2.51 percent).
Items contributing to this result were pigs (3.76 percent), poultry (3.73 percent), fresh milk (2.68 percent), eggs (2.18 percent) and cattle (0.17 percent)
Similarly, production grew in the agricultural subsector 1.12 percent as cocoa production (14.85 percent), raw cotton (12.86 percent), paddy (11.94 percent) and potatoes (9.68 percent).
The decline in coffee production (-17.72 percent), corn starch (-16.03 percent), yellow corn (-12.25 percent) and sugar (-0.69 percent) was observed.
