Fisheries sector grew 82.18% in April bulk extraction for CHD

The Fisheries Sector increased by 82.18 percent in April this year compared to the same month last year, explained by the greater extraction of species for direct human consumption (CHD) today said the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) .

This increase is explained by catching Anchovies (for the production of fishmeal and fish oil), in the month of analysis, reported the landing of 337.772 tonnes against the ban established in the same month of 2013.

The result of that month fishing is the highest of the year, up from January (-17.61 percent), February (18.16 percent) and March (22.34 percent). The sector comprises marine fisheries and inland fisheries.
Also, the INEI reported that in April this year, the mining and hydrocarbons sector shrank 6.10 percent by the negative result of metal mining subsector 9.64 percent.

Notably, the sector performed well in previous months, since January expanded 5.70 percent in February (7.99 percent) and March (0.85 percent).
April contraction is due to the lower extraction of zinc (-17.39 percent), gold (-26.21 percent), molybdenum (-9.75 percent), and copper (-0.27 percent).

However, he grew up silver production (2.87 percent) and iron (8.09 percent).
Increased Oil subsector (5.96 percent) was due to increased production of natural gas (11.81 percent), crude oil (6.89 percent) and natural gas liquid (2.93 percent).
In measuring sector participates metal mining 84.6 percent and 15.4 percent hydrocarbons.
