Russian market reopened 18 providers Peruvian Fish

Russia resumes today announced that imports of Peruvian fish a total of 18 vendors after Moscow yesterday banned food supplies from the US and EU in response to Western sanctions.

“Considering the interest of Peru to expand their food supplies, the Russian Agricultural Inspection Service and Livestock (SIAG) considered possible resumption of imports of fish from 18 processing factories Peruvian Fish” Russia, SIAG reported in a statement.

Russia struck yesterday Western food industry by prohibiting the importation of beef, pork, vegetables, fruits, poultry, fish, cheese, milk and dairy products from the European Union, United States, Australia, Canada and Norway.

Only in the case of the EU, Russia's main trading partner, agrifood imports brushed 12,000 million euros last year, of which about 5,250 million related to the now banned products, according to EU sources.
