The Ministry of Production (PRODUCE) remarked that the prawns from aquaculture environments are not in closed, unlike those from natural environments.
Therefore, industry watchdogs are touring markets, restaurants, fishing terminals, among others, national, requesting said resource holders certificates attesting to their origin.
PRODUCE recalled that the country has 85 national shrimp producing Prawns in fish farms, located in the regions of Tumbes and Piura, which are enabled to make the dispensing of that crustacean.
Natural environments
It is important to note that the ban Shrimp (Which ends on 15th of February) solo involves the crustacean that comes from natural environments.
Those who do not comply with this provision shall be punished as provided in the General Fisheries Act and other legal provisions, PRODUCE said.
