The Ministry of Production (PRODUCE) pre published a draft Supreme Decree to promote the development of the fishery for tuna for direct human consumption, the bank said.

The PRODUCE stated that that project also aims to encourage the production of derivatives Tuna Human Consumption and encourage foreign vessels unload said marine resource in domestic plants.

“In recent years tuna landings have shown varying development, with annual averages of 8000 tonnes between 2010 and 2013. Therefore, it is of importance to propose measures to encourage this fishery in order to encourage domestic plants download”He said.

He added that the arrangement is in the stage of public consultation for a period of fifteen days.
