For the first time recorded a fearsome fish "Black Sea Devil"

Scientific Research Institute Aquarium Monterey Bay, MBARI, California (western US), managed to film a copy of the mysterious "Black Sea Devil", a kind of deep-sea fish known by the scientific name Melanocetus Johnson.

Confirmed to BBC spokesman MBARI researchers of the institution believe this is the first that has managed to record in their natural habitat to this strange little animal that can live at depths of up to 3,000 meters.

In this case, the specimen is a female captured nine inches that was about 600 meters deep in the Monterey Submarine Canyon, off the California coast.

The images were taken by a remotely operated vehicle dubbed Don Ricketts.

The "Black Sea Devil" has an antenna whose upper end by bioluminescent bacteria lights, which helps attract prey, they just trapped in their fearsome jaws full of sharp teeth.

Females can grow to 20 inches, while the male is ten times smaller and can not survive alone, so her companions as a parasite is coupled.
