Ghezzi Minister signed ten commitments for responsible and sustainable fishing

Representatives of civil society and the Ministry of Production (PRODUCE) signed a ten-point commitment to develop a responsible and sustainable fisheries in the country.

In the framework of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Climate Change (COP20), the Minister said Piero Ghezzi is a very important commitment, because first the sectors related to fishing pledged to respect the vedas, not to consume juveniles species and, in short, to conduct practices for sustainable use of marine species.

“We have ten commitments, it is important to take care of the Sea, respect closures, respect juveniles, remove the indiscriminate fishing, use of appropriate fishing gear, promoting aquaculture; growth has to come from the Aquaculture”, he said.

A subscription attended this important personalities from the world of gastronomy and food, as the chef Gastón Acurio; President of the Peruvian Association of Gastronomy (Apega), Bernardo Roca Rey; and FAO Representative in Peru, John Preissing.
