A total of 100 kilos of octopus were confiscated in Piura region, after an unexpected intervention led by inspectors from the Directorate General of Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Production (Produce).
The seizure was carried out on the road of Avenida Peru, in the area known as Rinconada Llicuar in the Province of Sechura.
In that place and with support from the National Police of Peru stopping the isothermal chamber plate T6F-919, led by José Alexander Take Tume requested.
After making the relevant investigations, the auditors found Produce into the vehicle four boxes containing a total of 100 kilos of octopus, Artisan Fishing from the landing-Parachique Las Delicias.
Noticing this illegal action, the inspectors of the Ministry of Production rose the report corresponding occurrences for violating paragraph 6 of Article 134 of the Regulations of the Fisheries Act for transporting aquatic resources declared closed.
It was reported that everything seized was donated to the Government of Rinconada Llicuar for distribution to low-income residents.
As recalled is forbidden to extract, transport, marketing, storage and processing of octopus in the regions of Lambayeque and Piura, through the Ministerial Resolution No. 483-2009-Produce.
