Huanchaco emergency by strong waves that destroyed boardwalk

Unanimously, the District Council of Huanchaco spa declared an emergency after the strong waves that destroyed the tourist pier, at the height of the beach El Boqueron.

In the last hours, 10 meters what remains of the pier, have been toppled along sidewalks and some ornaments cement.

Huanchaco, world famous for its horses of reeds, was hit by strong waves that destroyed 300 meters from the pier. This situation has generated concern among tourism operators and residents and tourists.

Meanwhile, it was learned that Indeci staff prepares a report that will be presented to Elidio Espinoza, Provincial Mayor of Trujillo; and Cesar Acuña Peralta, regional governor of La Libertad.
