The data comes from cruises Sea Institute of Peru (Imarpe) that in October, warned about the situation affecting the activities of industrial fishing in the north central and south.

"There would have to wait a worsening in the conditions (weather) on the coast, in agriculture and rain"Ghezzi said about the coming months when the weather phenomenon usually manifests in its entirety.

The Minister added that "ENFEN prognosis (National Study of El Niño) is to be mild to moderate and there is nothing to suggest that there is."

“El calentamiento del mar es de un (fenómeno del) Niño leve a moderado, pero el impacto sobre la anchoveta ha sido bastante mayor por una serie de razones científicas”, migration have generated the usual fishing areas, he noted.

Ghezzi said that next week, between 20 and 21, will be a joint operation called Eureka, Craft Imarpe and the private sector to see the status of the Biomass.

"Not that it has exacerbated the phenomenon, but we are still awaiting the results of the second cruiser Imarpe (in December) and he says the Eureka expedition next week"He said.

In the case of biomass is found, the Ministry of Production could open certain sections of the coast to authorize industrial fisheries affected by the scarcity of anchovy, the main resource for the production of fishmeal.
