Shipments of non-traditional fishing totaled $ 609 million in first half

Exports of non-traditional fish reached in the first half of the year a total of 609.9 million dollars, representing an increase of 22.6 percent compared to the same period in 2013, today reported Exporters Association (Adex).

Followed by Spain, China, South Korea, France, Thailand, Venezuela, Japan, Italy and Germany, among others that formed in total 96 destinations.

The greatest demand was in Squid, shrimp tails, scallops, frozen fish fillets, anchovies preparations and whole prawns.

In response, the Chairman of the Committee on Fisheries and Aquaculture Adex, Humberto Speziani said that non-traditional fish shipments will remain on a positive trend.
