The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment has been created within the General Secretariat of the Special Register of Fishing Vessel Fishing Business Spanish (RESAE) operating exclusively in EU waters, through a Ministerial Order published today December 24th. Registered companies will be eligible for certain statutorily established aid.
May be placed on the Register of Companies, OEMs or owners of vessels fishing exclusively engaged in the capture of tunas and related species outside the waters of the European Union and not less than 200 nautical miles from the baseline of Member States.
The main purpose of Registration is to promote the competitiveness of Spanish companies avoid offshoring by abandoning the Spanish flag for the flag of a third country. Besides greater control of fishing activity, especially with regard to illegal fishing is guaranteed.
To do this, companies registered in the Register may, in accordance with EU guidelines for the review of State aid in the field of Fisheries and Aquaculture, be candidates for the perception of certain aid through tax breaks or reductions in fees Social Security.
