The tragedy was around Dock Company Sima Chimbote. Fifteen fishermen escaped death crushed when the boat was being repaired in dry dock and tried to return it to the sea, turned around mid-spring.
Mar men who were high on the ship had to jump into the water and others to the platform dock to avoid being crushed by boat.
It was learned that one of the chains was tied to a truck broke down and tilted the ship sideways. Within minutes fishermen who made the maneuvers had to be made safe. In desperation they beat him and threw for four and even five feet tall.
At the end 15 of them were injured and were evacuated to San Pedro Robles and clinics.
The boat belongs to the Southern Company.
