Authorize TESACOM to service the satellite tracking Fishing boats

The Peruvian subsidiary of TESACOM Group became the first company to be authorized by the Ministry of Production (PRODUCE) of the neighboring country to provide the service of satellite tracking fishing boats.

This is based on the Regulation of Satellite Tracking System (SISESAT) of that nation, approved in mid 2014. This legislation provides new techniques and laws that satellite providers must meet to enter and stay in the List of Satellite Providers Aptos to deliver satellite tracking services to the entire fishing fleet.

Indeed, TESACOM few weeks ago we requested entry in this list of technology providers by filing RF Transceiver satellite equipment manufacturer SkyWave, model 690 IDP. This equipment was evaluated by a committee of experts who, after a thorough review, established that met the required technical and legal requirements.

"For us it is a great honor and a great satisfaction the fact of having been the first company in Peru to be authorized by the Ministry of Production to provide the service satellite tracking of fishing vessels. The above confirms our leadership and speaks highly of the high standards we, as a company, we are governed"Said the CEO of Tesacom Peru, César Villarán.

As of April 1 of this year, only satellite service may operate in Peru those companies that are registered in the new list of Satellite Providers Aptos. In this sense, all contracts with satellite providers that are not part of this new list, administered by the Ministry of Production, will be recognized until March 31 of this, in accordance with the deadline established in Ministerial Resolution No. 374-2014-PRODUCE.

According to experts, this new Peruvian law permitted to exercise better and more efficient control of fishing activities in the country.

"Personally, I am happy to see that the Satellite Tracking System will start to see improvements in the technological aspect, which assures us that in the next fishing season monitoring and monitoring national and foreign fleet will be made more efficiently, and making use of the latest technology in satellite equipment to provide reliable and timely information to analyze raids in prohibited areas and detecting potential violations, achieving fair sanctions and the protection of our aquatic resources ", Said a few days ago the fishing Engineer Ronald Buenaño.
