Seven companies prohibit dumping of industrial waste into the Sea of ​​Paita

The Agency for Assessment and Environmental Control (OEFA) issued seven preventive measures ordered seven companies to stop dumping their waste into the sea of ​​the Bay of Paita. This is to certify that factories comply with its obligations regarding the treatment and disposal of their industrial effluents.
These measures were issued on October 21 for the following companies: Provider of Marine Products SAC, Daewon Susan EIRL, Peru SAC Holding Investment, MIK - Carpe SAC, SAC Coast Watch, Frozen and Canned Corporation del Peru SAA (Ex Copasur) Fishmeal and Trading Corporation SAC
Preventive measures were then given to the findings identified during the monitoring actions carried out in September 2014, four industrial fishing establishments were dumping industrial effluents into the sea of ​​the Bay of Paita despite being forced to reuse them as irrigation water, while three other establishments, but were not operational at the moment, had pipeline infrastructure and channels that enable them to discharge their effluents into the sea in a stage production.
