PIURA – Sechura Bay could be closed by Dumping of sewage

Sechura Bay continues on orange alert by pollution due to dumping of sewage and household waste from surrounding populations.

This is caused by the lack of water and sewerage system in the town, which has meant that the inhabitants of areas like Rinconada Llícuar, Bernal, La Union and others, end up throwing the drain to Mar.

So warned the Regional Councillor Hermer Roman Alzamora, announcing that today, at a meeting of Regional Council, that problem and the actions to take against possible health emergency will be analyzed.

The decisions of the referee would be reflected in a draft regional agreement.
