Petroperu announced that it will build a new marine terminal in Talara

The company Techniques Gathered main -contratista Modernization Project Talara Refinery (PMRT) - build a marine terminal for discharge of the main equipment for the New Talara refinery, with approximate weights up to 700 tons, it was reported today.

The state company estimated that the construction work of this modern terminal commencing from November 2014 on land owned by Petroperu Jetty adjacent to the pier and Social Club Deportivo Petroperu.

During the first stage of the construction process of PMRT, the terminal will serve only to download project teams, but in the operation phase of the New Talara Refinery will become a Liquid Cargo Dock, allowing the dispatch and receipt of fuels more efficiently.

Considering the timelines established between Petroperu and Techniques Gathered, spring will start functioning from the first quarter of 2016, when they begin to get large tonnage equipment.

Therefore, on October 3, Petroperu, in coordination with the local authority decided to close the beach "Breaking Waves", after obtaining all permits for use of water area and riparian strip for DICAPI and APN; thus initiating preparations to achieve the construction of a modern port facility.
