Captaincy Lambayeque says Pier Puerto Eten remain closed

The pier of Puerto Eten, in Lambayeque region will remain closed indefinitely, said the Chief of the Coast Guard Maritime Captaincy Pimentel, Mirko Fortunic Guerrero.

He said that so far the Municipality of Puerto Eten and regional government does not comply with raising the observations of Civil Defense, following the damage caused by strong waves recorded in July last year.

“The observations have not been raised, therefore the Dock remain closed. Once you get the report that supports improvements by Civil Defense and the municipality, assess and proceed to lift the closure”He emphasized.

Fortunic ruled reopened after the order made by the leader of the fishermen Francisco Ñiquen, upon completion of seven months of the closing of the aquatic facility.
