Climate change and fishing

Concerned that local governments are insensitive to the issue of climate change (CC) due to short-term pressures;

The fishermen, who now also depend on regional policies are among the most vulnerable and insecure in income would make them even weaker as potential subjects in the formal credit system.

Climate change is altering the temperature and acidity of the oceans, while the patterns and intensity of tropical cyclones, could affect biomass species such as anchovy, among other oceanographic phenomena that lead to migration of species and / or cycles affect reproductive (FAO, 2009).

It is advisable to make prior sensitization workshops which interact and discuss current issues and future scenarios of fisheries and aquaculture, under social, economic, technological, environmental and biological that could define the situation of the sector and ensure proper selection and sectoral representativeness
