EGYPT – Danish producer inaugurates modern food factory Fish

The Danish producer of food for fishes Aller Aqua Group A / S opened Tuesday in Egypt art factory.

In cooperation with the Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU), the Denmark-based company bought most of an Egyptian family company in 2011, and last year completed construction of the largest and most modern plant in the country specializing in organic production of extruded food for fish.

To realize this project, the Egyptian company called Aller Aqua Egypt, invested heavily in the area called “6th of October City”Located within an hour's drive from Cairo.

“The momentum we have managed to create in Egypt since 2011 laid the foundation for this extraordinary expansion, which gives us the opportunity to triple saless”Said Henrik Halken, President of Aller Aqua Egypt.

The Danish firm ensures that believes in the market and a bright future in this country, and says the growth experienced over the past year reinforces this belief.

Since it began producing food for fish, 50 years ago, Aller Aqua has experienced continuous growth. Apart from the factory in Christiansfeld, Denmark, built a factory in Poland in 2001 and another in Germany in 2007.

Hans Erik Bylling, majority shareholder and CEO of Aller Aqua Group, stressed that the company now sells fish food to more than 50 countries worldwide.

“We have a clear and concise strategy Aller Aqua, designed to create more growth in the coming years, and investments like Egypt are one of the tools to achieve our goals, as well as continued growth in existing markets and new”, Bylling said.

The Director added: “2014 has been a busy year for us, since we have opened our new research center in Büsum, Germany. This helps us to put ourselves at the forefront in developing new efficient types of food, with a greater focus on better utilization of raw materials”.

“We are also proud to have been awarded a German innovation award for this particular effort.”

“Aquaculture is now the food sector grows faster, and more than half of the fish consumed worldwide is fish farming. Therefore, we focus on growing our activities in several of the world's emerging markets”Concluded Bylling.
