Inspectors from the Ministry of Production (Produce) seized 89,865 tonnes of anchovy in one of their raids in Callao.

As reported by the Produce, the offending vessel is owned Pesquera Diamante, who did not have the agreement faithfully and in full compliance with the provisions of Decree Law No. 1084, a document that establishes the mechanism for fisheries management.

The Ministry of Production, also highlighted that are being monitored 100% of the landings of fish meal, weighing the downloaded resource and production control.

In another operation, Produce noted that a smaller ship fined for having illegally caught more than seven tonnes of anchovy in the first five miles, and qualified as a felony that results in the suspension of the fishing action.

The intervention was made in the establishment Jada Pesquera SA, which after investigations Anchovy 7,429 kilograms were seized.
