Inspectors from the Directorate General of Monitoring and Control of Ministry of Production (Produce) and staff of the National Police of Tourism and Environment seized six kilos of meat Dolphin after an unannounced raid in Miramar Market in Chimbote (Ancash Region ).

The appeal was confiscated the trader Alberto Rojas Gutierrez at stall No. 61 Miramar Market.
After knowing this illegal act, the auditors raised Produce reports respective occurrence kicking relevant disciplinary procedure.

The Dolphin and other small cetaceans that inhabit the Peruvian sea are protected species by Law No. 26585 from 1996, which also prohibits the extraction, processing and marketing.

The Ministry of Production has made available to society the telephone number 616-2222 annexes 1507 or 1531 and the email denu,esncias@produce.gob.eg to file complaints about the hunting, prosecution and illegal sale of dolphins.,es

The seized was donated to the Home of Peace Congregation Missionary Sisters of Charity of the town.
