The main markets were the United States, an increase of 63% and buy for $ 49.9 million.

Silva, who is also President of the Commission for the Promotion of Peru Export and Tourism (Promperú) indicated that in the first quarter of 2013 the country exported 4,753 tonnes of prawns, in the same period in 2014, 5,715 tons.
The main producer was Tumbes Region (80%), followed by Piura (20%).
