SalmonChile announced this afternoon that an extraordinary meeting of the board, the former Undersecretary of Fisheries, Felipe Sandoval, was unanimously elected as the new president of the guild.
Sandoval assume next February 1, replacing Maria Eugenia Wagner who according to what was stated in his resignation leaves office on January 31 next.
In a statement, the union said the board emphasized the speed and drive time to agree on a name to represent the new President.
Sandoval was Undersecretary of Fisheries, Government of Lagos, during the government of Michelle Bachelet took office as Executive Secretary “Salmon Table”, A body chaired by the Minister of Economy of the time, which sought to define the urgent tasks to improve the production of Chilean salmon industry.
