Eating fish contributes to the rapid healing of wounds and fight infections, reports the Nutritionist "To Eat Fish" of the Ministry of Production, Hebe Córdova National Program.
"Rich in protein and fatty acids (Omega 3) and the Fish foods are beneficial for tissue regeneration, helping to heal wounds. We must end the myth that says otherwise, "he said.
Fish is a food that gives the body good quality protein, vitamins (A, C, D, B complex), minerals such as iron and zinc (the latter favors wound healing), fatty acids such as Omega 3 among other important nutrients for health.
"But before buying fish must ensure it is in good condition for consumption. Your muscles must be strong and resistant to finger pressure, with bright, prominent eyes, his red, moist gills and belly should not be inflated, because it is a sign of contamination. Must have soft smell of the sea and the table where it is sold must be ice, "said the specialist.
These and other recommendations are made in the workshop of nutrition education on the importance of including fish in the diet of the family, targeting 30 mothers of diverse popular dining district of Arequipa José Luis Bustamante y Rivero.
In addition to Arequipa, the program "Eat Fish A" operates in more than 90 districts of Lima, Huanuco, Ayacucho, Cusco, Junin, Apurimac and soon it will enter Huancavelica.
